About Polysteel Alternative

PolySteel (American PolySteel) was founded in 1978 as Foam Form and was the first North American manufacturer of Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF). They procured manufacturing rights from Werner Gregori, the Canadian who was issued the first patent for ICF. ICF systems create reinforced concrete walls with integral insulation providing energy efficiency, structural strength, four- to six-hour fire resistance ratings, and superior sound insulation (STC 46-72 vs 36 for standard fiberglass/drywall). The American company was put into liquidation, but the technology continues through Fox Blocks insulated concrete forms with 19 ICF manufacturing locations across the US and Canada.
